Andreas Messing could miss the Craven Shield semis (Jeff Davies)

Coventry Bees will hand an official debut to their number eight Ben Barker for Monday's trip to Belle Vue.

Barker is called up because of an injury to Coventry's Swedish reserve Andreas Messing.

Messing suffered tyre-burns when involved in a crash during Bees' last meeting, a 48-45 victory over Poole Pirates at Brandon.

Coventry captain Chris Harris is back from Slovenia where he was competing in the first Grand Prix of the season.
