Coventry Bees avenged their midweek defeat at Poole by beating the Pirates 48-45 at Brandon on Friday.

Stan Burza top-scored for the home side with 10 points from reserve in the Elite League clash.

Bees, at full strength with the return of Rory Schlein, only made the victory safe in Heat 14 when Burza and Billy Janniro managed a 5-1.

Coventry have a long wait until their next league meeting - away at Belle Vue on Monday, 28 April.
