Injured Schlein continues to ride

Coventry Bees rider Rory Schlein will be fit for Monday's meeting at Belle Vue despite nursing an injury.

The Australian returned last week in the win over Poole after dislocating his fingers racing in Poland.

"The hand's still swollen. We had a problem in the last meeting when my middle finger popped out," Schlein told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

"Because the knuckles are still a little bit weak it makes it easy for them to pop out of the joint."

It is not the first time the Bees man has hurt himself during his time at Brandon.

"I've experienced it quite a bit in my short career with Coventry, breaking my back and my leg.

"It's heartbreaking not to be there for the lads, trying to push them on."
