Ipswich lifted by returning Poles

Jarek Hampel
Hampel returns after missing the last two meetings

Ipswich Witches will be back to full strength for their home meeting against Eastbourne Eagles on Thursday.

Jarek Hampel and Piotr Swiderski - who have missed the Suffolk side's last two matches - have returned from riding in their native Poland.

After failing to win in their last five outings the Witches management have decided to switch things around.

Swiderski will now be paired with Chris Louis while Steve Johnston will ride with Robert Miskowiak.

Team manager Pete Simmons believes the new pairings will give the team greater strength towards the end of meetings.

Eastbourne are second in the Elite League table with four wins from their six matches so far.

Former Ipswich rider and current Great Britain captain Scott Nicholls is their new number one, replacing world champion Nicki Pedersen who left Arlington Stadium in the winter.
