Lambert top scored with an 18 point maximum |
King's Lynn Stars' Saturday night return clash against Rye House Rockets has been called off due to bad weather. That is a blow for a King's Lynn side who made up for three postponements with Wednesday night's 61-31 win over the Rockets at Saddlebow Road. Teenager Simon Lambert, 19, top scored for Lynn earning himself a maximum 18 points in the five heats. The Stars went on to get their 98th straight home victory in the Premier League Trophy and Knock Out Cup. Rye House's Tai Woffinden took a fall in the third heat and played no further part, retiring with a hand injury. Speedway correspondent Edwin Overland told BBC Radio Norfolk: "The signs are that Lynn once again this year are going to be extremely strong at home. "If they can do the same away from home then they could be looking to collect further trophies again this year."
