Stars target revenge over Rockets

King's Lynn Stars
The Stars will be looking to get back to winning ways against Rye House

King's Lynn Stars will hope to kick-start their season when they take on Rye House Rockets on Wednesday.

The Stars will get their chance to avenge the Rockets who won the 2007 Premier League title after finishing fourth in the table.

Rye House won the end of season play- offs but the Stars, who had topped the table, crashed out in the semi-finals.

King's Lynn had a disappointing Easter period as all three fixtures were called off due to bad weather.

Stars owner Buster Chapman told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's a bit hard to get going, we just want the matches to get race fit so we can do a good job in the league."

They actually stole it from us, we won the league fair and square

Chapman is still upset by last season's disappointment and is keen to get revenge on Rye House.

"At the end of the day I did feel quite aggrieved about it all.

"They nicked it from us, they actually stole it from us, we won the league fair and square right through the year.

"I know play-offs are the rules and the winners of the play-offs were crowned league champions."
