Topinka will hope his side are just as dominant against Birmingham |
King's Lynn Stars started their Premier Trophy defence with an emphatic 66-24 win over Mildenhall Fen-Tigers. Captain Tomas Topinka and his side overwhelmed the Fen-Tigers by more than 40 points at Saddlebow Road.
Tigers' Number One Kaj Laukkanen top-scored for the visitors and had it not been for him, the result would have looked much worse.
The Stars next race is Good Friday's first leg of a home and away match against Birmingham Brummies.
The match against Birmingham is a repeat of last year's Premier Trophy Final when King's Lynn got the better of the Brummies.
Speedway correspondent Edwin Overland told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Birmingham at home will be workable for Lynn but away from home, that will be a close one."
Lynn's new additions Kozza Smith and Rusty Harrison have started to get into the groove of riding for the Stars.
"Kozza finished off his schedule of rides with a tremendous win and seven points which was very encouraging," added Overland.
