Mildenhall Fen Tigers captain Robbie Kessler on the track |
Mildenhall Fen Tigers captain Robbie Kessler has promised a new-look team full of surprises as they start their Premier League season. Among the new faces is number one Kaj Laukkanen, a former Grand Prix rider.
"He's been round the world and done speedway for a long time," Kessler told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"We've got experienced lads with a lot of young hungry lads, if we find the right mix of experience and hungry kids we should get some good results."
Filling the gap while Kiwi Grant Tregoning sorts out his visa requirements is former Reading rider Shane Colvin.

Another new face is Jan Graversen, a 19-year-old from Denmark who will be Tigers' second heat leader.
He will be partnered by fellow Dane Casper Wortmann at number four.
"Graversen had one meeting here last year in the Shareholders Trophy and was 0.2 seconds off the track record on his first time round the West Row Circuit," said Tigers co-promoter Simon Barton.
Kessler, whose side face Rye House Rockets in the Premier Trophy in the first racing action of the new season on 16 March, admits he still does not really know what most of the new faces can do.
"I think the Trophy will be a bit too much to ask for, but once we get everyone bedded in we'll see what happens when we're firing on all guns in the league," he said.
The tapes go up for the meeting against Rye House at 1630 GMT.
