King's Lynn's Kevin Doolan was unable to race on Good Friday |
King's Lynn's Premier Trophy tie with Birmingham Brummies fell victim to the bad weather on Good Friday. Water-logged tracks at Saddlebow Road and Perry Bar led to frustration for riders and speedway fans alike.
The Stars were due to race both legs in the space of a day, with the home leg starting at 1200 GMT, and the tapes going up on the away leg at 1945 GMT.
But heavy rain at both venues left organisers with no choice but to declare them unfit for racing.
King's Lynn promoter Buster Chapman told BBC Radio Norfolk: "The track was very wet and the forecast was poor so we had to make a decision.
"And the decision we came to was to cancel. None of us wanted to but you have to look at track conditions."
