Lincolnshire motorcycle racer Alex Lowes says he wants a permanent slot on the British superbike Championship grid after a strong display at Cadwell Park.

Alex, from Lincoln, finished 15th in race two and second in the Evo class after being called up as a late replacement on the Redline KTM.

Lowes told BBC Lincolnshire: "I'm really happy I could give the team a podium after they gave me a chance.

"Hopefully people took notice and I can get on something for the next one."

He continued: "I don't know if I'll be riding or not but I'll be training anyway and fingers crossed I will be."
