The Southern 100 Club has announced that Manx Telecom will sponsor the 2010 Post TT races at the Billown Circuit. It had been feared the event would be cancelled, following the Department of Tourism and Leisure's decision to concentrate on the core race programme. The deal was completed on Wednesday and Southern 100 Club spokesman Phil Edge says it is fantastic news. Edge said: "We're tremendously grateful to Manx Telecom for stepping in and literally saving the event." The event has been a fixture on the Billown Circuit since 1991. The lightweight and ultra-lightweight races will be staged on Saturday 12 June, the day after the Senior TT.
