Rushen United opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Isle of Man Premier League on Saturday after Peel lost 3-2 at St John's.

Rushen earned another three points with a 2-1 victory away at Corinthians while Peel suffered a surprise loss to their western rivals, who are 11th.

Laxey are just six points behind Rushen with two games in hand after a 3-0 victory at Castletown.

Meanwhile, St Georges and Ramsey also recorded victories.
