Lincoln racer Sam Lowes secures British Supersport ride
Sam Lowes won the 2009 Supersport Cup with the Co-Ordit Honda team
Lincoln rider Sam Lowes will race for the GNS Racing team in the 2010 British Supersport Championships.
Lowes, winner of the 2009 Supersport Cup for up-and-coming riders, joins a team who had several successful seasons under the Centurion Racing banner.
He told BBC Lincolnshire: "I can go into next season knowing that the team and the bikes are capable of winning.
"If I perform as well as I can and the team believe I can, there's no reason why I can't win races."
Lowes, 19, who will be partnered at GNS Racing by Supersport rookie Paul Jordan, also rode for the Echo-CRS Honda team in the latter stages of the 2009 World Supersport Championships.
He admitted: "After the season ended I held talks with the team, they were keen and so was I.
"We had something in place but their sponsor wanted to go to World Superbikes and that's what they've done.
"But, if they'd stayed in Supersport, I would have been there."
