Redding's best finish this term has been a fourth place in Spain |
Scott Redding is confident he can make an impression at the Grand Prix of Italy after crashing out in France. The 16-year-old is 15th overall in the 125cc World Championship going into Sunday's race and has been buoyed by his best-ever qualifying run in France. "We thought the track was going to dry and chose the wrong rear sprocket and it didn't stop raining," said Redding, who qualified second in Le Mans. "Let's hope I qualify as well in Italy and we get it right for the race." The Gloucestershire teenager was ninth fastest in Friday's first free practice for the Mugello race, 1.298 seconds off Spaniard Julian Simon in top spot.
