McGuinness set the TT lap record of 130.354mph in 2007

TT legend John McGuinness will ride for HM Plant Honda at TT 2009.

The Morecambe-born 14-time winner, 34, is the only rider signed up for the official factory outfit, who are widely expected to field two solo competitors.

TT 2009 will mark the 50th anniversary of Honda Racing's debut on the island and the Japanese manufacturer is expected to celebrate the landmark.

A Parade Lap will be held to celebrate Honda's heritage and success over the years on the famous Mountain Course.

Italian maker Ducati celebrated the 50th anniversary of their involvement at this year's event.

Bikes from the Ducati Museum in Bologna were displayed at the TT Grandstand including the first bike raced around the mountain course and Mike Hailwood's 1978 machine.
