Hutchinson doubtful for Ulster GP

Ian Hutchinson is looking for machinery to ride at this week's Ulster Grand Prix road races after splitting with the AIM Yamaha team on Sunday.

The Yorkshireman, who won last year's main Superbike race at Dundrod, had qualified in 15th position in the 600cc class at Knockhill but did not race.

Hutchinson said he was trying to put together a deal to race at Dundrod but was unsure whether it would happen.

The 28-year-old took a brace of podiums at this year's Isle of Man TT races.

He has been a winner at all three international road races in the past few years but has failed to make a significant impression in the British Supersport championship this season.

He had been linked with a move to the Ballymoney-based JMF Millsport Yamaha team but Dungannon rider Ryan Farquhar is now competing in their colours.

Hutchinson's absence would be a major blow to the event.

The AIM Yamha team have indicated that they will not now be racing at 'Prix'.
