Ian Hutchinson won a shortened Superbike race |
Ian Hutchinson from Yorkshire won a shortened Superbike race at the Ulster Grand Prix on Saturday. The Honda rider took the chequered flag ahead of 2006 winner Guy Martin in a race reduced to three laps because of torrential rain at the Dundrod circuit.
Bruce Anstey was third with Ryan Farquhar the best local man in fourth.
Farquhar won the first Superstock race while Guy Martin took the Supersport honours and William Dunlop edged out brother Michael in the 250cc event.
Racing had been delayed by two hours because of surface water on the Dundrod circuit and when action got underway Farquhar led from start to finish in the Superstocks.
Martin passed Conor Cummins on the last lap to win the Supersports with Farquhar having to settle for third.
The second Superbike and Supersport races did not take place as the meeting had to be abandoned because of torrential rain.
"The conditions were not want we wanted to be racing in but at least the spectators saw some racing," said main race Hutchinson.
"I have got a win in all three internationals now - that is the pleasing part."
