Ian Hutchinson holds the absolute lap record for the Dundrod circuit |
Ian Hutchinson will start from pole in the Superbike races in Saturday's Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod. Wet conditions for Thursday's superbike practice meant that the grid positions were taken from Wednesday's session.
The Yorkshire rider clocked 127.50mph to edge out Guy Martin, while Bruce Anstey set an unofficial lap record of 128.11 to top the Superstock times.
Anstey was also quickest in the 600 class with 122.75 and William Dunlop's 118.43 gave him pole for the 125s.
The 600 practice on Thursday was, like the Superbikes, run in the wet so Anstey's time from Wednesday's opening practice was enough to secure first place on the grid.
