 Eugene Laverty was 18th on his Grand Prix debut |
Toomebridge rider Eugene Laverty claimed his first world championship points by finishing 14th in Sunday's Spanish 250cc Grand Prix at Jerez. Laverty picked up two points from the race after qualifying in 24th position on Saturday.
The LCR Honda rider had taken an 18th place finish on his debut in the class at Qatar two weeks ago.
Aprilia rider Jorge Lorenzo won Sunday's race from his compatriot Alvaro Bautista.
