The Ilmor MotoGP team say Jeremy McWilliams is making good progress in recovering from a broken leg.

The 42-year-old from Northern Ireland fractured his left femur while testing for his new team last November.

But Ilmor said he should be fit to return to testing in Qatar in February. The new season begins on 10 March.

Ilmor's latest test at Almeria in Spain was hit by snow. Aussie rider Andrew Pitt said: "It was very cold and too dangerous to really push things."
