Ryan Farquhar won the Junior TT race in the Isle of Man |
Dungannon's Ryan Farquhar won the second supersport Junior TT race in the Isle of Man on Wednesday. The Kawasaki rider won by 14 seconds from Welshman Jason Griffiths with Donegal man Raymond Porter coming in third for his first TT podium place.
Farquhar, the first Ulster winner of the week, led from early in the race and clocked a fastest lap of 122.46mph.
"It is absolutely brilliant - to get my second win here on the Kawasaki is something very special," he said.
He added: "It was my turn today and hopefully on Friday I will get another bit of luck. I will just go out and do my best.
"But this was the one to win so I will be going home happy no matter how Friday goes."
Nearest challenger Ian Lougher retired on the second lap while many other top riders also failed to finish.
Adrian Archibald, Bruce Anstey, John McGuinness, Richard Britton and Darren Lindsay all dropped out because of mechanical problems.
England's Gary Martin finished fourth with Martin Finnegan of Lusk back in fifth.
Sunday Grandstand on BBC2 has coverage of the TT at 1135BST.
