Harvey's best finishes this season have been two 10th places |
Lincolnshire's Jack Harvey failed to add to his points tally in round three of the British Formula Three international series at Snetterton. An engine misfire during qualifying left Harvey, 18, starting from the eighth row of the grid. He finished 15th in race one and, after crashing out on the opening lap of the second race, was 12th in the third. Harvey said: "Grid position is really important so we faced an uphill struggle right from the start." After three rounds of the series, Harvey, who races for the Carlin team, has only two points from a brace of 10th places. He added: "This weekend was really tough and we struggled with the balance of the car which affected my pace throughout the weekend. "I will take away the positives from the weekend which were my starts. I made up a number of places in all of the races but now we need to focus on our qualifying pace so we can pick up some solid points."
