Eastbourne Eagles team manager Trevor Geer says Saturday's home defeat by King's Lynn is difficult to take. The Eagles suffered their first Elite League defeat at Arlington Stadium since June last year as they lost to the Stars 48-45. Geer told BBC Sussex: "To lose at home is really disappointing. I forgot what it felt like. "It's a shame because we got three valuable points at King's Lynn during the week and we've thrown it away." He added: "We had three riders missing so maybe we shouldn't have held it. "But we're struggling with dates for meetings and we've still got to fit in Swindon at home." The Eagles remain seven points clear at the top of the Elite League table, but they have ridden four more meetings than second-placed Poole Pirates.
