Eastbourne Eagles boss Trevor Geer says a strong team spirit is the reason for their good start to the season. The Eagles beat Belle Vue Aces 54-39 on Saturday and sit top of the Elite League with two wins from two. Team manager Geer told BBC Sussex: "The boys got together in the interval to have a team meeting. They dug in, came together and pulled it off at the end. "Last year we struggled and there were a lot of long faces. It's totally different now and it's great to see." Meanwhile co-promoter Mike Bellerby says number seven rider Dawid Lampart will not be returning to Arlington Stadium. | Last year we struggled and there were a lot of long faces. The 20-year-old Polish rider was withdrawn from the meeting against Belle Vue by his Polish club Stal Rzeszow. "As far as we're concerned he won't be coming back and riding for us again," Bellerby said. "We're now looking at all of the options for the re-declaration of the team and a new number seven."
