Hutchinson won all five TT races on the Isle of Man in 2010 |
Ian Hutchinson is targeting the third round of the British Supersport Championship at Croft for his return. The Bingley racer, 31, suffered serious leg injuries in September after a crash at Silverstone, just three months after he won all five TT races. "I feel really good but I've still got a few fractures that need time to heal properly," he said. Hutchinson recently put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Yamaha. He continued: "I can't see myself being ready for the opening round at Brands Hatch and the second round at Oulton Park is back to back, so Croft seems a realistic target." The eight-time TT winner is hoping to be fit and ready for the NW200 at the end of May, before he prepares for the Isle of Man TT in June. "I've been off crutches for over a month now and I am able to do a lot of training and weights," he said. "I've done a lot of miles on the push bike and my body is responding extremely well to all the training and physio. "I'm not feeling any pain at the moment and the doctors are happy are really happy with my progress," added the Swan Yamaha rider. "I can't wait to be racing again."
