Priaulx will now return to the European Racing Circuit

Guernsey's Andy Priaulx took top spot in his first race of the year, winning a 12-hour endurance race in Florida as part of Team BMW.

The Sebring race is part of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, and Priaulx shared the car with the USA's Joey Hand and Germany's Dirk Muller.

The team covered 312 laps of the 3.7-mile track during the 12-hour race.

Priaulx said: "This is a fantastic result, we made no mistakes and the team was absolutely spot on."

He added: "It is great to have Sebring on the CV as it is a brilliant event and an amazing atmosphere."

Priaulx's next race will be Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on 7 May.
