The reformed Mildenhall Fen Tigers are close to naming their team manager, says co-promoter Michael Lee.

The former world champion joined forces with Ipswich Witches boss Chris Louis and ex-rider Kevin Jolly to reinstate the team in the National League.

But the trio have yet to confirm who will lead the Suffolk outfit.

Lee told BBC Radio Suffolk: "We feel the person we've got in mind will be very good for the job, hopefully we will be able to release a name soon."

Despite their lack of a manager the Tigers have revealed three members of their 2011 line-up.

Witches youngsters Olly Rayson and Joe Jacobs will continue their speedway education on loan at West Row.

And former King's Lynn and Eastbourne rider James Brundle, who starred for Mildenhall in 2006, will return to head up the team.

"James hadn't got a Premier League place this year and was pretty disappointed by that," Lee explained.

"He wants to get himself back on the road in speedway, the boy's got a talent, that's for sure, I've worked with him before.

"And he's right up for what we're doing. We feel it could be a stepping stone back on the road for him.

"Hopefully this weekend we should have another name to add.

"But we're last into the league and we've been left with the pickings but we're fairly confident we will have a competitive team."
