Yamaha to celebrate 50th anniversary at Isle of Man TT

Yamaha will mark their 50th year at the Isle of Man TT will a parade lap ahead of the Senior TT on Friday, 10 June.

Some of Yamaha's greatest ever riders will ride some of their finest machines to mark the anniversary.

The Dutch-based Yamaha Classic Race Team will parade around the Mountain Course and team owner Ferry Brouwer says it will be a very special moment.

"We are sure that the TT fans will enjoy the sights and sounds of these spectacular machines," he said.

"We are delighted that Yamaha's 50th anniversary is coinciding with the centenary celebrations of the Mountain Course.

"It will be a great opportunity to see some real legends up close."

The international team, which includes multiple TT winners and world champions, will also take part in a parade on Douglas Promenade on 8 June.

The line-up will include Yamaha's most successful ever rider Phil Read, Germany's double world champion and TT winner Dieter Braun and Australian TT winner Kel Carruthers.

On Thursday, 9 June, fans will get the opportunity to meet some of their heroes as part of a day of champions at the TT Grandstand.
