Farquhar has finished at the top of the standings five times in nine years
Ryan Farquhar has won the Geoff Duke Trophy for a third consecutive year after topping the Duke Road Race Rankings. The 34-year-old from Dungannon was presented with the trophy at a ceremony in Belfast by Duke's son Peter. "Geoff told me that anyone who won it three times in a row could keep it, so it's mine now and I am really pleased," said Farquhar. "To keep the trophy is a tremendous honour. It's been a really good season for me and to do it with my own team is even better." Farquhar won 57 races in 2010, setting 19 lap records along the way. He claimed two second-place finishes at the Isle of Man TT races and four wins at the Southern 100 at Billown. William Dunlop finished second, some 2,275 points down on Farquhar, with his brother Michael third. Castletown's Chris Palmer was the Isle of Man's highest ranked rider in seventh. The Duke Road Race Rankings celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2011, and a new trophy will be created to mark the occasion.
