Lindgren led the Elite League scoring averages in 2009 |
Wolverhampton rider Freddie Lindgren is set to extend his stay with the Wolves into an eighth season. The 25-year-old Swedish racer will finalise contract details next month and compete for Tarnow in the Polish league and Dackarna in his home league. He said: "I'm quite faithful to the colours and I get used to a club." Promoter Chris van Straaten added: "I asked him the question of whether he wanted to be here next season and he wasted no time in saying yes." Van Straten continued: "Whilst there is still some talking to be done when he comes over I would like to think we can announce his new contract at the fans' forum on 10 January. | Everything is looking very positive for me |
"We want him and he wants us so I am confident we will find some middle ground and get together for another season." Lindgren said preparations for the new season were going well. He said: "I am training at Centrum Elite in Stockholm, a special centre for athletes. They test your physical condition. "I've also just returned from a three-week holiday in Australia so I'm doing some more intense training before the season begins. "My team will continue to be the same. I have the same mechanics as before. I've signed a contract with them already. Everything is looking very positive for me."
