The ever-reliable Freddie Lindgren helped Wolves to another three points |
Wolverhampton protected their unbeaten home record by beating the Coventry Bees 50-40, but were made to work hard. Wolves scored maximums in the first two heats but were pegged back to lead by only four points with four heats left. But Nikolai Klindt's victory in heat 12 eased the pressure, before Freddie Lindgren and captain Tai Woffinden made sure in the final heat. Wolves remain in second place in the Elite League with two meetings against leaders Poole later this month.
WOLVERHAMPTON 50: Freddie Lindgren 14, Tai Woffinden 10, Ty Proctor 8+4, Nicolai Klindt 8, Ludvig Lindgren 6+2, Joe Haines 4+2, Adam Skornicki r/r. COVENTRY 40: Chris Harris 11, Edward Kennett 10, Krzysztof Kasprzak 8, Lewis Bridger 5+1, Ben Barker 4+1, Josh Auty 1, Aaron Summers 1.
