Topinka has made more than 500 appearances for King's Lynn

Workington Comets have signed Czech rider Tomas Topinka from King's Lynn Stars ahead of the 2011 season.

The 36-year-old arrives on a season-long loan from the Stars following their step up to the Elite League.

Topinka has enjoyed two spells at King's Lynn, making more than 500 appearances and is also a Czech Republic international.

Comets have now signed four riders for 2011 in Topinka, Richard Lawson, Rusty Harrison and Kenny Ingalls.
