Franc first rode for the Bandits in 2001

Czech rider Josef Franc will join the Berwick Bandits line-up for the 2011 season after being recalled from a loan spell at Sheffield Tigers.

Franc, 31, joins Lee Complin, 26, in the Bandits squad ahead of the forthcoming campaign.

Bandits co-owner George Hepburn said: "He was desperate to rejoin Berwick again for the new season.

"He comes back on a 6.81 average which is a snip for someone who goes so very well at tracks all over the country."
