Stoke Potters rider Claus Vissing scored 11 points at Owlerton |
Stoke Potters could not make a winning return to action after a 12-day break, losing 61-33 to Sheffield on Thursday. Claus Vissing scored 11 points for the Potters, who also gave a debut to German rider Frank Facher at Owlerton. However, Facher could not register a single point in his first meeting for the Premier League club. "We never like to lose, especially by nearly 30 points, but Sheffield are always formidable around their home circuit," said manager Malcolm Vasey. "I hope people do not judge Frank on this meeting as he only got into the country on Thursday morning and to ride here is daunting at the best of times, never mind making your debut here."
