Poland's Adam Skornicki not fit for Wolverhampton team

Wolverhampton are again without Adam Skornicki for Monday night's Elite League meeting against strugglers Ipswich at Monmore Green.

The Polish veteran has not recovered from the knee injury he suffered in the Knockout Cup tie against Coventry.

Nicolai Klindt has proved his fitness as part of the Denmark team that took silver medals in the World Cup.

Wolves' Freddie Lindgren claimed bronze with Sweden, while skipper Tai Woffinden competed for Great Britain.

The final was delayed by rain in the Danish town of Vojens, which has left several riders facing up to an awkward journey back to England.

"We're driving to Calais - I have to get back to basics," said Woffinden, 19.

"I'm bringing Nicolai's engine back from Denmark because he's flying into Stansted, so I'm doing my bit to help the team.

"We should be too strong for Ipswich but we won't take anything for granted, manager Peter Adams will make sure of that."

Wolves remain second in the Elite League behind runaway leaders Poole, but now have Peterborough breathing down their necks. They will use the rider replacement system to deputise for Skornicki.
