Chris Harris optimistic for World Cup final in Denmark
Harris is the reigning British Speedway Champion
Cornish speedway star Chris Harris is optimistic Great Britain can win the World Cup in Denmark on Saturday.
Harris, who rides for Coventry, helped guide Britain to the finals at the Norfolk Arena on Tuesday, and is now looking to inspire his team to glory.
Harris told BBC Cornwall: "The team are very confident we can get a good result in Demark.
"The boys are really up for it, the team spirit's been good and the atmosphere's awesome."
He added: "It's going to be a tough competition, but that's the only way it's ever going to be."
Great Britain has never won the new format of the World Cup, with Poland, Sweden and hosts Denmark standing in the way of a maiden victory for Truro-born Harris and his side.
Harris said: "We've just got to make starts and not worry about what the others are doing.
"We've got to concentrate on our own tactics and make sure that we get results in every race with no last places."
The Great Britain team will consist of the same five riders who triumphed in King's Lynn, with Harris joined by Scott Nicholls, Lee Richardson, Simon Stead and Tai Woffinden, plus Danny King as cover.
