Swindon Robins rider Jordan Frampton admits he is finding it hard to adapt to the Elite League this season. The 25-year-old is being used as a doubling-up reserve but failed to score in the 47-43 defeat away at Eastbourne. Despite enjoying good form in the Premier League for Rye House, Frampton has not had the best of times with the Robins in 2010. "I'm really struggling in the Elite League, probably putting too much pressure on myself," said Frampton. Ironically, Frampton enjoyed better fortunes with Coventry in the Elite League last year whilst also riding for Newport. "Last year I was really struggling in the Premier League but then relaxing more for Coventry in the Elite League," he said. "This year I think I'm trying a bit too hard and not riding well on the harder tracks in the Elite League." Frampton feels he should have made more of a contribution at Eastbourne. "I feel really bad. If I could have helped and scored some points then we might have won," he added. "That's really what we should have done and I feel I've let them down." Swindon have given Frampton a vote of confidence by telling him he will be in the team for Thursday's home match against Peterborough.
