Swindon boss Ronnie Russell struggles to explain loss

Swindon have only picked up 16 points from their 13 meetings so far this season

Swindon manager Ronnie Russell says he does not understand why his team threw away another lead after they lost at Eastbourne on Thursday night.

For the second meeting in a row, the Robins were in front before losing.

The 47-43 defeat continued Swindon's poor start to the Elite League season and Russell told BBC Wiltshire he was at a loss to explain it.

"We let it fall apart. Suddenly we just stopped and I just don't know the answer," he said.

Swindon are now third-bottom and Russell wants more consistent gating from his side.

"If you're gating, you stay gating. We can't keep having it fall apart when it comes to heat six," he said.
