John McGuinness says he would love to break Joey Dunlop's record of 26 victories at the Isle of Man TT.

The 38-year-old from Morecambe notched up his 15th win in 2009 and says he is in the form of his life ahead of Saturday's opening Superbike race.

He told BBC Isle of Man: "I feel like I am in the best form of my career and I would love to think I still have time to catch Joey's record."

McGuinness set the fastest practice time of the week on Wednesday evening.

Riding on his HM Plant Honda Superbike hit reached a speed of 130.242mph.

The Morecambe man completed the 37.75 mile course in 17 minutes 22.89 seconds, just 10 seconds off his own lap record.
