Coventry's announcement of a deal to keep Lewis Bridger for the season has angered his parent club Eastbourne. Bridger, who lost his place at Peterborough last week, said: "At the end of the day, a rider rides where he wants to ride." But Eastbourne co-promoter Mike Bellerby said: "It was wrong of Coventry and Peterborough to thrash out a deal without any notification to us. "We believed we'd be welcoming Lewis back for the match against [Swindon]." He added: "We are very upset that he and Coventry have seemingly chosen not to honour the agreement that had been reached. "All we can say at this point is that the management of Eastbourne speedway will be conducting our own internal discussions to consider our position and whether any future action would be appropriate."
