Schlein made his first Peterborough appearance against Lakeside |
Peterborough Panthers rider Rory Schlein says the team have the ability to start picking up points on the road. The 25-year-old made his home debut for the Panthers in Monday's 50-39 win over Ipswich Witches. But Peterborough have won just one away meeting all season and are fourth in the Elite League standings. Schlein told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We just have to get everyone firing on the same night. I think we can work together and get some away points." Schlein, who scored 10 points against the Witches, was part of the Coventry Bees side that won the Elite League in 2007. "The main thing we did there [at Coventry] was no last places," he added. | It was a club I wanted to come to for a while. "If we can somehow accomplish that, that's when away points come calling." The Australian arrived at the East of England Showground after finding himself on the sidelines at Coventry. "It was a club I wanted to come to for a while," he said. "It's got great facilities now and I think this track is as good as any track in the country." Panthers are next in action Thursday, when they host Lakeside.
