Ill health has forced John Woolridge to leave his post as team manager |
John Woolridge has been forced to leave his role as team manager of the Stoke Potters because of ill health. Woolridge returned to the helm on a full-time basis at Loomer Road at the start of the 2009 season. "I'm obviously disappointed not to be able to continue but the doctors have advised me that I need to ease up on things," he told the club website. Promoter Dave Tattum added: "John has always been a loyal servant at Stoke and we wish him a speedy recovery." The Potters get their season under way on 17 March when they take on the Birmingham Brummies in a challenge match, before beginning their Premier Trophy campaign away at Scunthorpe nine days later.
