Stoke Potters have named John Woolridge of their new full-time team manager for the 2009 speedway season.

Adams departed from Loomer Road in the close season to take over at National League side Mildenhall.

Woolridge has extensive experience in the sport, having previously been co-promoter at Wolverhampton.

He returned to Loomer Road in the same capacity last season for his second stint as co-promoter of the Potters, managing the team in Adams' absence.
