Conor Cummins has been re-signed by the Cookstown-based McAdoo Kawasaki Racing team for the 2010 road racing season, which includes the Isle of Man TT.

In 2009, Cummins became the quickest Manxman in TT history on way to a memorable second place in the Senior.

"I'm extremely pleased to continue riding for the team. We've had an awesome season and hopefully 2010 will be even better," said Cummins.

Cummins will also contest the British Superstock series on a Kawasaki.

The 23-year-old will ride for Ian Lougher's Black Horse team, who have recently switched from Yamaha to Kawasaki for the 2010 road and short circuit season.

Cummins continued: "I'm really chuffed to be competing full time next year on Kawasaki's.

"Black Horse Kawasaki are the official Kawasaki UK Superstock team, so it couldn't be better really, roll on 2010."

Cummins, who ended 2009 with a fantastic second place finish in Macau, has had many highlights during a memorable year.

He became only the third rider in TT history to record an official lap in excess of 130mph, set an outright lap record at the Southern 100 and set a world record lap of 133.28mph at Dundrod.

McAdoo Kawasaki Racing team owner Winston McAdoo said: "He really is at the top of his game, and at just 23, the most exciting rider in road racing, bar none."
