Ian Hutchinson after his Supersport win on Monday morning

Ian Hutchinson made it three wins from three starts at the Isle of Man TT as he clinched victory in Monday's Supersport and Superstock races.

Hutchinson led all the way in the Supersport race and had three seconds to spare from Guy Martin at the finish with Michael Dunlop in third.

Yorkshire man Hutchinson then finished 1.3 seconds ahead of long-time leader Ryan Farquhar in the Superstock event.

Isle of Man rider Conor Cummins was 31 seconds behind Farquhar in third.

John McGuinness was fourth, Guy Martin fifth and Keith Amor sixth with Ian Lougher, Michael Dunlop, Michael Rutter and Adrian Archibald completing the top 10.

Honda-mounted Hutchinson needed to set a new lap record of 130.74mph to overhaul Farquhar on his final lap of the afternoon Superstock race.

Farquhar made a storming start and broke the existing lap record on his first circuit with a speed of 129.81mph.

This gave him a seven-second lead over second-placed man Michael Dunlop, with Hutchinson close behind in third.

Farquhar led Hutchinson by four seconds after lap two, with Michael Dunlop losing time in the pits at the end of his second lap after his crew changed a rear tyre.

The Dungannon man extended his advantage to 5.5 seconds after the third lap but Hutchinson blasted round on his final lap, breaking the race record by 16 seconds.

Hutchinson won Saturday's opening Superbike race and produced another fine ride on Monday morning as he came in ahead of Martin and Michael Dunlop in the Supersport event.

Scotsman Keith Amor took fourth after setting a lap record of 126.90mph on the final circuit.

Manxman Daniel Kneen and William Dunlop completed the top six.

Hutchinson, who has now won five TT races, led Martin by one second after lap one, by four seconds at the end of lap two and lap three, and just managed to hold off the charge of the Lincolnshire rider on the final lap.

The Yorkshire man broke the existing Supersport race record by 15 seconds and was delighted with his victory.

For Hutchinson, it was a repeat of last year when he won both the Supersport A Race and the Superstock event on the same day.

"I can't believe I have a hat-trick under my belt - it's the stuff of dreams," said Hutchinson after his Supersport win.

"This is the same bike I won this race on last year and it just got better and better as the race went on."

Farquhar was delighted with his Superstock performance despite being pipped at the end.

"I couldn't have ridden any harder - I'm happy with my lap times and this feels as good as an international Superbike win," said the 34-year-old.

In contrast, Michael Dunlop had earlier been hugely disappointed by his third place in the Supersport race.

"I'm here to win races so I'm gutted to finish third - I just didn't go hard enough on the first lap," added Dunlop.

Honda-mounted John McGuinness had to settle for seventh, with Conor Cummins, Ryan Farquhar and Cameron Donald making up the top ten.

Michael Dunlop and Guy Martin were also inside the old lap record speed on their final circuit.
