The Jersey car rally takes to the Island's roads this weekend, with 33 stages set to run over two days. Of the 86 cars entered, last year's winners Tony Wilmington and Andrew White in their Mitsubishi EVO 6 are seeded first. Sixth seed Steve Leonard is the local favourite for the event, which begins on Friday with two stages at Bellozanne Valley and along Victoria Avenue. The rally has run annually since 1983, when there was just one stage. The event has forced several road closures in lanes around St Helier, St Saviour, Grouville, St Martin, St Clement, St Lawrence, St Ouen, St John and Trinity. The rally begins at 10:00 BST and concludes on Saturday at 18:00 BST.
