People in Jersey could see rally cars on the Parade in St Helier instead of in the town centre. The Roads Committee is discussing whether the road could be partially closed for part of the rally.
The Jersey Motor Cycle and Light Car Club wants to move its rally and display of vehicles from its traditional New Street venue.
It would mean the Parade would be closed on the morning of 14 October and for some of the afternoon the next day.
The organisers say it would mean more people and cars could take part in the event.
The committee will also discuss whether a restaurant in the town centre, the Bistro Centrale, should be allowed to have an enclosed outdoor eating area.
