Stoke Potters have been drawn against Workington in the semi-finals of speedway's Young Shield. The first leg will be at Stoke's Loomer Road track on Saturday, 10 October with the return leg taking place at Derwent Park 24 hours later. "It's a magnificent achievement for us to be in the semi-finals," said Stoke Potters promoter Dave Tattum. "The two meetings with Workington will be full of great racing, and hopefully it will end in a Stoke win." The Potters made it into the last four with a 95-92 aggregate victory over Somerset. They beat Workington at home in the Premier League in May, but were heavily beaten in the return meeting in August.
