Christodoulou has one win so far in his maiden Formula 3 season

Sutton Coldfield's Riki Christodoulou says he will not let his recent bad luck stop him from trying to finish his maiden Formula 3 season strongly.

The 21-year-old finished seventh in Round 17 and retired early after being hit in Round 18 in Portugal.

The F3 season reaches its climax with two races at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

"I must put this bad luck behind me and focus on Brands," he said. "I finished third there 12 months ago so I'll be aiming for a repeat of that form."

Christodoulou stands sixth in the standings with 103 points and goes into the final two races looking to close the gap on the leading Briton in the championship, Max Chilton, who is 32 points ahead.
