Toseland is from Sheffield

Isle of Man resident James Toseland claimed another top-10 finish in the San Marino MotoGP on Sunday but says he could have done better.

The Tech Three Yamaha rider was aiming to repeat last week's top-six finish but a big crash on the first corner let the leaders open up a large gap.

Toseland said: "The incident at turn one really split the pack.

"I felt really good after last week and, without it, I think I could have made the top-six."

Toseland now sits 13th in the overall standings.

Valentino Rossi took another big step towards the title, winning his home race to extend his championship lead over team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, who came second, to 30 points.

There is now a four-week break until the next round at Estoril in Portugal, with four races remaining in total.
